I decided
to make a special page for my links on toast, as they're quite
deserving of it. Some are a tad weird, but then devoting an
entire website to this stuff isn't exactly what I'd call working
with a full loaf.
To begin
our little tour, I thought the first stop should be A Moron's Guide to
Toast. Why? I have no idea. My bookmarks are
arranged alphabetically, and it was first in line. Seemed
reason enough. The owner of the site has a great sense of
humor, and I really enjoyed reading through it.
The next
on my list is A
Shrine to Toast. There isn't much here, but there is a
very unique recipe for Sesame Chicken Toasts using scallions,
garlic, ginger, chicken, and a bunch of other things you can find in
a place called a grocery story. If I can't find it in 7-11, it
doesn't get bought. Therefore, to keep things on the simple
side, I suggest going to the Ancient Art of Toast
site. Here you will get a comprehensive lesson on how to make
toast from scratch....including pictures. This is where I
learned the necessity of plugging in the
toaster.
Have any
questions about toast? Confused about which side to butter
first? Go see Dr.
Toast. He's got a wealth of information there, including
toast haiku. My favorite one is:
"I am toast. My crunch Makes
your mouth smile. Woe is he Who microwaves
me"
-- Shad Emerson Jessen
